Making a difference for our planet
As a global company we care about the environment we live in and the planet we stand on. Dealing with risks daily, we are well aware of the fact how nature is changing constantly. Our aim is to give back to our planet and help our environment recover and grow further. Therefore, we partnered up with Treedom. Treedom is an European based company, founded in 2010, which helps their customers to plant trees in Africa, South America, Asia and Italy. All plants are set out by local farmers who profit from the harvest of the planted trees.
Life at riskmethods
Our work-life-balance is very good. We have flexible working hours and are open to discuss different working models for our employees that suit them best. For example home office or working from remote.
We have an international team, so we often travel to Germany or Poland to work with the colleagues over there. All our offices are located in the city center, which makes it easy to commute. Also, riskmethods sponsors us for developer conferences, which helps us improve our skills and stay up to date with the industry.
Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, I was skeptical that the onboarding process would be streamlined but riskmethods surpassed my expectations. Before my first day I was provided with all the essentials required for my role, and given additional hardware such as monitor screen, Bluetooth headset, and wireless mouse.
I have three children at home and at the same time I lead a team of ten at riskmethods and you can imagine that it's not an easy thing to balance both. But riskmethods - they give me the flexibility that I need for that. If it's needed I can split my day in two halves and continue working in the evening.
I wanted to work in a company that works on an innovative product and where I would have a significant impact on the product. riskmethods had both. Because it is working on a software that is defining the industry and on the other hand all product managers here have an impact on how the product is delivered to the customer.
